What Can I Expect From the Procedure?
When you come in for a dental bridge, we’ll begin by assessing your teeth and taking X-rays to ensure your remaining teeth are healthy and strong enough to support the bridge. If needed, we’ll treat any existing dental issues before moving forward. The next step involves preparing the abutment teeth by gently removing some of the enamel. Once this is done, we'll take more measurements and make an impression of your teeth. This information will be sent to a dental lab to create your bridge. In the meantime, a temporary bridge will be placed to maintain your smile.
Once the permanent bridge is ready, you’ll return to our office, and we’ll remove the temporary bridge and fit the new one. Some minor adjustments may be necessary to ensure it fits comfortably and looks natural. We’ll take the time to make sure you're completely happy with the result.
